All three forms of Asian medium may reach an equilibrium in the case of international popularity with regional pockets where one format can be more well-liked than the other types such as in their own homelands. Do you welcome the visual media from Korea, China, and Taiwan that share the international space with Japan's manga and anime? Will Japanese manga and anime still be the default go-to Asian comics and animation in the future? Perhaps manhwa and manhua are forewarnings the Japanese manga + anime industry needs to redevelop itself to keep its admiration from waning? I am unsure how the future will play out though, I have two guesses from the top of my head:ġ.
